Class 1 Driver – Basingstoke Area

We are currently recruiting for a Class 1 Driver to join our client in the Basingstoke area on a temp to perm basis.

This is an excellent opportunity for a reliable and flexible driver looking for long-term work with a well-established company.

Pay Rates

• Weekdays: £16.77 per hour
• Saturdays: £20.97 per hour

Shift Pattern

This role operates on a 2-week rotating pattern:

Week 1

• Monday to Saturday
• Start times between 00:30 and 03:30

Week 2

• Monday to Friday
• Start times between 00:30 and 03:30

The Role

• Driving Class 1 articulated vehicles, with occasional Class 2 rigid vehicle work
• Completing store deliveries across the South, including parts of London
• Covering a variety of routes as required
• Most journeys are scheduled at approximately 8 hours

Requirements

• Valid Class 1 (C+E) licence
• Valid CPC and Digital Tachograph Card
• Previous Class 1 driving experience preferred
• A flexible and professional approach to work
• Willingness to cover a variety of routes and vehicle types

Assessment & Induction

Successful candidates will be required to complete:

• A driving assessment and site induction
• A buddy day alongside an experienced driver before working independently
