Permanent Warehouse Operative – Crewe/Wardle, 24-7 Recruitment are looking for experienced warehouse operatives on a permanent basis. Our client is one of the UK’s leading logistics distribution and supply chain companies. Based near Nantwich, Cheshire, so they are ideally placed to serve companies across both the North West of England and further afield. With particular experience and expertise in the ambient grocery sector – some of the UK’s largest retailers trusting us them provide a reliable and efficient service. Key Duties/Tasks working as a Warehouse Operative: Picking orders from pick lists and locate stock as and when required. Packing orders ready for dispatch. Dispatching goods to our customers. Completing all paperwork and documents as the position requires. Receiving, checking and storing products from suppliers in a manner so the Company is not liable for any damages. To report all shortages and damages found to the Team Leader immediately. To maintain the highest quality standards with due regard to the Customer’s requirements and in line with HACCP, BRC and any other internal or external legislation / audits. To be aware of and adhere to the Company’s Health & Safety Policy, taking responsibility for the Health and Safety and welfare of yourself and others. Ensuring work areas are kept in a safe, clean and tidy manner. To abide by the employee handbook. Able to carry out Reach truck duties and other mobile plant when required. (training/refreshers will be given as required for the needs of the department) Requirements and Qualifications for Warehouse Operative role: Hands on role that may involve lifting and carrying. Comfortable on your feet. Capable of operating mobile plant including Reach & Fork truck, can be trained if required. A team player with a positive attitude towards work and employee engagement, with the ability to build and maintain relationships. Reliable, on time and always ready to achieve the company tasks and responsibilities. A team player who is honest, hardworking, works well under pressure and communicates well. Has an attention for detail. Feels comfortable and is able to operate IT equipment. Ability to be self-driven and highly motivated. Understanding and appreciation for safe manual handling practices and is Health & Safety aware. Working patterns: Monday to Friday shifts 6-2 & 2-10 with 1 in 5 weekend working Monday to Friday 22:00 to 06:00 Nights Sunday to Thursday 22:00 to 06:00 nights 4 on 4 off 06:00 to 18:00 fixed days 4 on 4 off 18:00 to 06:00 fixed nights Does this sound like your next permanent role?
