Social Worker – Referral and Assessment – Margate 24-7 Recruitment Services are looking for a Social Worker to manage a Children & Families caseload of various levels of complexity, involving the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of appropriate action, contributing to the effective application of resources to safeguard and promote the welfare of children and their families. The postholder should be working in line with the Social Care Capability Framework (SCCF). The post holder must complete the ASYE standard within 2 years of qualifying This role involves travelling around Essex. A driving licence and car – or the ability to meet the mobility requirements of the role through other means – is essential. Location: Kent – Margate Payrate: £29.23 per hour Contract type: Temporary (ongoing) Accountabilities for Social Worker in: We are seeking enthusiastic and resourceful social workers who will have the ability to respond positively and creatively to the needs of our service users. You will play a key part in providing social care service and exemplar social work practice within the Recovery Wellbeing Community Mental Health Team ensuring that excellence of service is provided across the department. You will contribute to change management, concluding our client’s transformation and ensuring it is configured for continuous improvement adhering to the Key Performance Indicators provided. What you will need to be considered for the Social Worker: You’ll bring significant experience of social work, modelling good practice and providing advice and guidance in complex situations. We’re also looking for your ability to mentor both newly qualified and experienced team members. As, as a subject matter expert in relevant professional practice, you should have a comprehensive understanding of current legislation, regulations and guidance. Manage a Children & Families caseload to include complex and diverse cases, involving assessments, reviews and the preparation of welfare reports and court attendance, to effectively meet the needs of the client group, in line with the standards set out in the Social Care Capability Framework. The caseload will be managed within the relevant framework of supervision dependent on the complexity of the case and post qualification experience of the post holder. Initiate and develop close working partnerships with statutory agencies, voluntary and private sector agencies, carers and those with parental responsibility in order to facilitate good outcomes for children and their families.
