Production operative (Extrusion or Recycling factory) – Louth, LN11 0JQ 24-7 recruitment are offering an exciting opportunity for an experienced production operative to work in Louth at a modern, hi-tech manufacturing and production facility. Our client, a market leading manufacturer of high-quality thermoplastics is offering amazing temp to perm opportunities to the right colleagues. Working with the existing team, you will help to manufacture, test and pack engineered polymer for a range of specialist applications. Where full training will be provided from day one and progression is readily available. Shift and pay information: Various shifts available Monday to Thursday day shift (FLT LICENSE REQUIRED) 06:00 – 18:00 Payrate £10.42 per hour – £24,924.64 per annum Weekend day shift Friday – Sunday (FLT LICENSE REQUIRED) 06:00 – 18:00 Payrate £10.62 p/h plus £20 Shift Allowance for each full shift completed – £22,172.28 per annum Night shift Monday to Thursday – production operative 18:00 – 06:00 Payrate £10.42 plus £20 Shift Allowance for each full shift completed – £28,044.64 Weekend day shift Friday – Sunday – production operative 06:00 – 18:00 Payrate £10.42 p/h plus £20 Shift Allowance for each full shift completed – £21,813.48 per annum What will I be doing as a production operative? Ensure that Compounding lines are set up and run safely, to achieve the required quality at optimum capacity. Deliver raw materials to the lines safely and efficiently, and to remove finished product from the lines in the same manner. Set and control the Compounding lines within the agreed processing requirements for the polymer and type number being run. Inspect and provide samples for laboratory testing for colour and quality as necessary. Pack material safely into the required packaging, ensuring it is correctly marked. Monitor machinery and materials (including packaging) to ensure that product leaving the Extrusion Department is of an acceptable quality. Advise the Team Leader promptly of any quality concerns. Complete paperwork and relevant updating of the stock control data base. Clean down machines as directed. Conduct maintenance checks of equipment and report any concerns. To be a production operative what do you need from me? Previous production operative experience within a similar industry FLT licence would be an advantage. Machine operation experience desired but not essential Keen eye for detail Good level of English both reading and writing Experience and willingness to work in a fast-paced environment.
